No Lint on the Lint Screen

No lint collecting on lint screen.

If no lint is present on the lint screen after a drying cycle, or if lint is on the wrong side of the screen, this problem could mean that rather than collecting in the lint trap, the lint is backing into your dryer. The lack of lint is a sign of an obstructed dryer vent. If lint builds up, back pressure can cause the heating element to overheat. When a dryer overheats, the lint trapped inside the dryer can easily catch fire.

It’s important to clean the lint screen before and after each drying cycle and to have your vent inspected if there is no lint on the lint screen. Request an appointment online today to schedule your dryer vent inspection and cleaning.
