During the full diagnostic inspection performed by Dryer Vent Wizard, technicians will measure the airflow and/or the static pressure (back pressure) within the dryer vent.

Airflow Measurements

 

Restricted airflow in the dryer causes the dryer to run longer, use more energy, and also increase the collection of lint in the vent line, creating a fire hazard. Reduced airflow can be caused by improper vent connections, lint build up, improper routing of the vent line, wall caps, birds' nests, and more.
